DJI Matrice 5T

Compact flagship for day and night work

DJI Matrice 5T is a compact enterprise drone built for work that does not stop when the light goes or the weather turns. A native 1K thermal camera, colour night vision, two 50 MP zoom cameras and a 3 km laser rangefinder sit on one gimbal, while LiDAR, mmWave radar and omnidirectional vision keep it clear of wires and structures. With up to 59 minutes of flight and an IP55 rating, it suits search and rescue, utilities, inspection and surveying teams across New Zealand.

Native 1K thermal

A 1280 × 1024 thermal sensor with four times the pixels of a 640 × 512 camera, plus a 2560 × 2048 ultra-high-resolution mode.

Colour night vision

A large 1/0.98-inch f/1.8 wide camera and AI low-light processing keep imagery in colour in near darkness.

Two 50 MP zoom cameras

3× medium tele for inspection detail and 11× tele, up to 176× hybrid, for reading detail from a distance.

Wire-level obstacle sensing

LiDAR detects power lines at up to 32 m, and mmWave radar keeps sensing through fog, rain and dust.

59 minute flight time

A 215 Wh battery, 23 m/s top speed and about 10 seconds from power-on to take-off.

Onboard AI

More than 20 built-in detection types, support for third-party models, and AI patrol routes that report back after the flight.

See more, day and night

The Matrice 5T pairs a native 1K thermal camera with a low-light wide camera and two 50 MP zoom cameras, so crews keep usable imagery from dusk through to full dark.

Thermal and visible together

Fuse thermal over the visible view on the controller and show up to three feeds side by side, with temperature alerts on screen.

Measure from a distance

The laser rangefinder marks points, lines and areas out to 3 km, useful for fire perimeters and locating assets.

Light where it is needed

An NIR illuminator adds up to 100 m of light for the tele camera’s monochrome night mode.

Safer near lines and structures

This is the first DJI compact enterprise drone to combine LiDAR, mmWave radar and omnidirectional vision, giving operators more margin around power lines, bridges and buildings.

Built for rough conditions

Rated IP55 and operating from −20°C to 50°C. Wind, icing and visibility on the day still make the go or no-go call.

Holds position without GNSS

Vision and radar data are fused to keep the aircraft positioned under bridges, between buildings and in deep valleys. ADS-B and Remote ID receivers flag nearby aircraft.

Longer reach, more ways to fly

O4 Enterprise Enhanced transmission and relay modes extend how far the Matrice 5T can work from the pilot.

Up to 40 km transmission

Range depends on regional radio rules. Two built-in cellular dongles provide a backup link when terrain gets in the way.

Relay operations

One aircraft can act as a relay for one or two others, extending coverage for large or coordinated operations.

Built for multiple industries

One aircraft for response, inspection and survey work, with software that carries the job through to reporting.

Public safety and maritime

Search and rescue, police and fire work, with launch from a moving vessel and landing back on a marked deck.

Utilities, solar and survey

Automatic power line following, 2D thermal mapping for solar and grid assets, and centimetre-level survey accuracy with DJI Terra.
